10 more keys to happiness
In honor of the new year.
I came across this zen oriented keys of happiness list. Thought it was worse a few minutes of my time. Who doesn't like to be Happy?
1. Listen to your bodys wisdom
2. Live in the present- it is the only moment you have
3. Take time to be silent
4. Relinquish your need for external approval
5. When you find yourself reacting with anger or opposition to any person or circumstance, realize that you are only struggling with yourself.
6. Know that the word "out there" reflects you reality "in there"
7. Shed the burden of judgement
8. Don't contaminate your body with toxins, either through food, drink or toxic emotions
9. Replace fear-motivated behavior with love motivated behavior.
10. Understand that the physical world is just a mirror of a deeper intelligence.

yikes, I haven't post the entire month of December and here it is about to end.
Well we have been busy busy busy. To top it off we are headed out on a last minute trip back to New Mexico.
We are pretty excited to see everyone again. It's usually years between visits, so twice in one year is a super treat. We'll have a special guests joining us, to be introduced later.

Traditions List
I do love my lists. Tomorrow is December 1. The Holiday shopping should be complete and we can spend the rest of the month just celebrating the season.
I have a list of holiday traditions and hope to add more each year.

Hand crafted gift bags
Home made ornaments
Watching "elf" "scrooge" and the "The Holiday"
Donating toys to charity
Volunteering to wrap gifts for kids and food sort for the needy
Taking lots of picture to document for future reference
Attend Very Merry Xmas party at Disney World
Weekend Trip to NYC
Mailing Christmas Cards
Singing Christmas Carols on Road trips
Having a dinner in the backyard lit only with candles and holiday lights
Spending time with friends and family
Thanksgiving
We had a very thankful day. Most of the day was spent at the beach. Sunny with a temperature of 81 was our inspriration.
Thanksgiving eve
all of our south florida sports teams are having a sucky season. We went to a heat game on thanksgiving eve. They spent the entire game with a 10 point lead, so how did they manage to lose the game in the last quarter. Shaq? Wade? Pat? care to explain. My car payments are less than the cost of good tickets these days. Well, We still managed to have a good time. They do make great Mojitos.
Green Market- Union Square
As usual when we travel we try to hit and outdoor market. This one is the green market at 14th st and Union Square. In a few weeks it will be the Christmas Market. It was a perfect market day, cool crisp fall air, New Yorkers out shopping, pumpkins, carrots and warm spiced cider, just what the south florida transplant needed.
Gabrielle
Gabrielle's specialy is Volleyball. She is a freshman on a JV squad. We were able to see one of her games. Which is exactly what we were hoping to do on this visit.
vacation time
We were missing our family out in New Mexico so we decided to take a long weekend trip to spend time with them. We also had the added bonus of the Albuquerque balloon festival.

I am so in love with this coat. yes, I know I live in florida. Yet, I can see my self planning trips to New York and Paris just so I can wear this cute little coat. Then I can save it as my little old lady coat to wear in 20 years or so.

to collect or not?
I have a fascination with globes, maybe it relates to my fascination with world travel. I have been thinking of starting a globe collection. I came across this picture and it pretty much seals the deal. I am officially starting a globe collection.
The end of summer
Living in south florida means that summer doesn't completely end but those long days at the beach with memorable sunsets will become shorter and shorter.
My best beach buds
The visits are few and far between but we can still pick up exactly where we left off. Cn is my beach soul mate. A bottle of wine, a beach chair and a good book is all we need. Greg is a very close second. He loves the beach but has his limits.
I am going to miss her.

Last Weekend
We had a good excuse to go out last weekend to overeat and drink too much.
Maureen a very dear friend of Jen was in town last week with her boyfriend sydney. They were on a two week long vacation from Holland/The Netherlands. I very much enjoy seeing Maureen when she is in town. Her and Sydney are very good people and we hope to see them again
