collecting

I started collecting these bracelets in 2007 after seeing them in Greece and Turkey. I have made a few of my own. I don't know what it is that I love about them. Well I love charms, I love beads and I love peace signs, buddhas etc. So maybe it is not so much of a mystery.

We came across this sloth on our hike. We thought he'd scamper away but he kind of just settled in and posed.

Our first outing was a hanging bridge tour. Loved it. Scary at first then we were nothing but amazed. Beauty was all around us.

Arenal Hanging Bridges is one the most beautiful environmentally-friendly projects in Costa Rica. Located in front of the Arenal Volcano and within the corridor followed by migratory birds between North and South America, the project's trails and bridges bring you close to the birds, flowers, and lush vegetation of the primary rainforest. With safe and easy access, the trails allow you to walk right into a beautiful forest. The imposing hanging bridges overlook a dense canopy with volcano views looming in the background.

POSTCARD 1

We are back from our Thanksgiving Break family field trip. We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. After a 2.5 flight from Fort Lauderdale we landed safe and soundly in the capital city of San Jose. We immediately started off for the 3 hour road trip to our host city La Fortuna. Interesting drive through the mountains, cloud forests, dirt roads, cows just hanging out in the middle of the road. We did arrive safely and hungry in La Fortuna. The only food available to us was cup of noodles for the local grocery store.

christmas is just around the corner

My favorite most time of year is coming near.

I think I like this bag

Its big so there potential for back pain, can I handle it???  Should it be my new winter bag?  hmm

this is what I need to make for my room.  the baubles and beads are starting to take over.

oh, i wish

oh, i wish I were somewhere doing this. I imagine these people to be good friends sharing some apps together, laughing, drinking having a good ol'time.

Are they in a foregin city? domestic city? local bar? pub?

Love this...

I love the whole cave house concept. The white makes up for the lack of natural light. The photo was post on style-files.

vacation feet

We did an easy hike to a waterfall in the shenandoah national park. We took a break to enjoy the fresh cold water. ahhh

Museums

Scenes from the British Museum and the Museum of Natural history. We spent a good deal of our trip warm and toasty inside these museums. They just happen to be two of my all time favorites.

smelly feet

Yummy but smelly cheeses found at the market in london. We all love to eat cheese with fresh bread, fruit and wine.

nutella, nutalla

Angelica's very first crepe and her very first taste of Nutella. An initiation of sort.

more food

Here is a food stall from the Camden Market. Our hotel was literally steps away from the outdoor market. Having this Market nearby really enhanced our stay. Roll out of bed walk over to the market for freshly made food of all ethnicities

what we ate

Our first meal of the trip was at a place called BELGO.

We had eaten here on our last trip and I wanted to return. Known for their Belgian Mussels and frites. The prices are good, food is good and provides a nice atmosphere. We had a good time
