monday

I keep getting emails on the top hottest soccer players at the World CuP this year.  I thought I would share

Claudio Marchisio
Team: Italy and Juventus
Age: 28
Known for: The Italian press has dubbed him “Il Principino” (The Little Prince). He’s beloved by Italian women for his azure eyes and that famously revealing Dolce & Gabbana underwear ad.

The rim..

I would like to talk more about my favorite place.

As I said before Santorini is built on a now inactive volcano.  The towns sit along the upper rim.
The rim is narrow so they have to build down the inside and outside cliffs of the volcano.  When you walk along the rim,   more often than not you will just see doors.   Once you walk through the door, You walk down a few stairs  and there you go!!!  There is a restaurant or cafe waiting for you, with prime views.  very cool!!!

Le weekend

The weekend started off with happy hour, of course

A visit to the MAC store with my gal pal

Umm,.. Hmmm.  never mind

These drapes were made from can pull tabs, bottle tops, etc.  It all seemed so ncredibly light and fluid.

Amazing exhibt at the Bass Museum in Miami.  All of these pieces are made from cans and bottle tops.

Sunday morning breakfast on the beach

USA -vs -Portugal

We got together with friends to watch soccer in a noisy, very excited bar.

soccer talk

Today is Monday.  I had a very nice weekend but I really wish I were in Greece.  Of all of my favorite places, Greece is my most favorite, favorite.

amazingly  bright moonlight

I love getting lost in the narrow walkways of mykonos, you never know what you might find a hidden cafe, gallery or shop???

on my daily walks I would walk as far as this windmill and then turn around and head back.  I remember peaking into that open door one morning and seeing a family inside going about daily business.

There is always a good view on Santorini, no matter where you go what you do there is still that amazing view.  In case you didn't know Santorini was a volcano, the volcano exploded, water filled the inside of the volcano.  So there is water on the inside, and of course water on the outside all around the volcano.  The opening below the sun in the photo is how boats come in and out.  Everything is built along the top  rim of  the volcano.      How cool is that???

this town is just sitting on the rim, nothing below it but rocks and water

typical greek taverna- only it sits right on the water

I love how this is contemporary and minimal but yet so very authentically Greek at the same time.  I see myself sitting there enjoying late night cocktails and people watching.

Another amazing view.
Where will this take me?

Le weekend snaps

Pictures from the weekend.  Greg and I spent Sunday down on Lincoln rd in Miami.

I have a sudden love of Macrons.  My goal is to try each flavor to determine my favorite. I am keeping a list.  The famous Laduree store has an outpost on Lincoln road in Miami. No long lines like the store in NYC.
