TULUM

is a super bohemian community- bare feet are acceptable at all times, and are usually paired with long flowy dresses and armfuls of golden bangles and tattoos.

Yoga is everywhere with beautifully painted signs, walls and positive messages. Classes are offered everyday pretty much all of the time. Yet, I managed to miss every single class, every single day.  How did that happen??  Well I didn't have a watch or a cell phone or an i-pad.  So I kept missing class. No worries-we spent most of our time lounging on pillows, mattresses, beds, couches and even swings eating fabulous food, cocktails, juices and teas.

Ommm

yes, it is

Signs like this everywhere.  I saw this sign while walking on the beach.  Decided to give it a try and that is how it all began.   JUICE!

taco bar on the beach

passion fruit margarita

darn it I missed yoga again.

yet another open  air out door kitchen

grilled octopus salad with asparagus, potato and balsamic was sensational.

This was the passion elixir ( passion fruit, tumeric, pineapple, ginger, moringa and coconut water)  my first but not last.  After this experience we became totally addicted to juice and juice bars

perfect for greg, all he needed was an umbrella

I didn't last long on this because it kept moving and I was getting motion sick but I did love the concept.

This was much better because it didn't move

my breakfast.. good stuff

A chai bar?? really? how do we not have those here??  note to self.. Open a chai bar.

I love this little seating for one under the tree, there is a chai bar just a few feet away and then the ocean.

OMG this was so good.  The tropical mojito -Rum, brown sugar, lime, strawberry, kiwi and mint- when she first put it down I was like yuck. It did not look like something I would like but after the first sip.  I was in love.  so good.  I would like to try and make it at home.

Enjoy this moment, enjoy it enjoy it , enjoy it.

My new favorite drink and the latest issue of Vogue

I so badly wanted to sit in these chairs and hang out for awhile but the occupants had the same idea.

this bar is behind the pink chairs above

this seating is next to the bar that is behind the pink pillow chairs obviously they look onto the ocean

This was a very tasty pna colada enjoyed after a long day of bike riding

morning ritual

Notice the empty round straw basket?  never quite sure what is was for?? our shoes? our bags?  Probably both right?  I never figured that out.

I love tea in the morning,

l love tea in the morning outside under the sun

I love tea in the morning,  outside under the sun, on the ocean in mexico

Greg's mexican breakfast- there are all kinds of stuff under the eggs, not to my liking but Greg said is was muy fantistico

We spent hours just maxin and relaxin. This is how I missed Yoga.

Greg really likes chairs, lazy boys, recliners, back support, arm rests  and all that.  He  never wants to sit on the ground.  I was so amazed that I was able to get him to sit on the ground so many times and at so many places.

This was carrot, apple, beet juice and some other stuff. I must admit I was afraid it smelled kind of strange  at first but then it was really good.  I  have been converted, yet always in the back of my mind I think - this is good but it would be even better with vodka or tequilla.  Just sayin

This was a most cozy comfy spot.  We spent hours on those pillows.

yep, missed yoga again

okay. coconut bread ( i have never heard of this but the best thing ever) in between the two slices of cocount bread was a portabello mushroom, tomatoes, cheese, then a poached egg, pesto sauce , cilantro.

This was one of those swing type chairs.. I didn't dare sit in it but I though it was lovely

Juice break.. beet someting, something..

Margarita and taco time

do i sit near the water or the bar?  the bar of course
