This afternoon Tara and I attended the empty bowls ( an international project to fight hunger personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level) fundraiser on the campus of FAU.
With a $10 donation you receive a handmade bowl filled with soup and fresh bread or pastry.
I was reminded that I never posted the Delray Empty bowl fundraiser that a group of friends and I attended in December.
For the Delray fundraiser the donation ticket price was $25 which included a locally made bowl and a large variety of soups provided by local restaurants. Soup refills were unlimited so were there was a lot of soup sampled.
The bowls were made by local pottery artists and school students. There were hundreds to choose from. |
