Nothing makes me happier than landing a Paris hotel room with the big french door/ windows.  Even better a view that includes  Paris rooftops.  This trip we had both.  We absolutely loved our stay at  Grand Pigalle in the 11th.  I picked this hotel instead of the usual airbnb apartment because I wanted a place that had a little bit of a scene. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant that attract   a diverse and hip crowd and the neighborhood is pretty trendy with a lot going on but not to   touristy.  We spent a lot of time just lying on the bed with the windows open, it was very upsetting to leave we just weren't ready for it to be over.

The carpeting in the hotel public areas has a pattern of cocktail glasses, need I say more.

Loved our tasseled room key

loved the phone also

This was the best jazz station, we had it playing 24/7 in the room

Everything sparkled in the bathroom it was super clean and shiny

I am never without a little travel candle to add ambiance to the room

Wine left over from Greece

drinks at the bar downstairs

We got back to the hotel really late one night, the kitchen was closed but our waiter offered to get us a plate of cold cuts.  He brought us this wonderful prosciutto, burrata salad ( we love burrata)  and an assortment of bread.  Perfect!!

Views of Paris rooftops as seen from our bedroom window.

Tree apartments right across from us.  We were super nosy the night before, they all had dinner guests.

This is what you see if you are on the la toilette

I love windows in bathrooms, especially big french one with a view.  I love the positioning of the plant, so you can sit and window watch unseen

Me sitting in our window

Jazz music playing, window open, bed picnic..Moments like these

Cafe Select

Quick weekend trip to New York with part of my girl gang.   Sunday brunch at  the  Swiss hip European  Cafe Select .   Very diverse and makes for great Sunday morning people watching.

black bread

We finally  found the elusive black baguette.  We found a bakery open on Sunday that sold the black baguette,  It was worth the long walk, getting lost, cold rain all that stuff.  Really strong flavor,  really good with our market cheese and sausage,  did not disappoint.

June brunch

We have been doing monthly Sunday brunch for over a year now and we still have a long list of places to try. Next up was The Office in downtown Delray.  It's always  great to get together with everyone on a Sunday morning to  talk, eat overpriced breakfast food and day drink.  Then we all go home for naps.
