Bread Lines

There are 5 million places to buy a baguette in Paris.  Boulangeries and patisseries can be found everywhere. People tend to be loyal to specific ones, which makes sense, I feel this way about bagels in New York.  My family has patronized the same bagel shop for as long as I can remember.  A long line on a freezing cold Sunday morning is a small price to pay for a good bagel.  This place below had consistently long lines,  when the line got to the door it would suddenly grow again.  There was a similiar line for a place on the other side of the street.  We decided to try this place because we were curious about the dark brown bread in the window.

This was a chocolate bread that we ended up eating in bed as a dessert.
