big mama

When researching places to eat in Paris, big Mama group seem to come up a lot for "the place to go". Delicious pasta and pizza, all italian staff. I also read that there were big lines. The first night we went to Mamma Primi not to far from our hotel but we could not get in, huge wait. There was no way they would be able to seat us before closing. So the following night we went early-ish to ober mama and got our name on the list, came back and hour later and feasted. I'm so glad we didn't give up on the first try. Everything was amazing. One of the best pizza's we have ever eaten. Great restaurant, great staff, great vibe, great setting. Here are a few pics

Umami- Matcha Cafe

I will take Paris in any kind of weather but it was pretty chilly and rainy last weekend so we needed lots of little breaks to get warm and dry. Any excuse to stop somewhere right? I don't even think it was raining when we stopped for a Matcha break. This was a cafe/ store that sold all things green and delicious.

We are getting ready to travel and I thought I would write a few posts on packing. One of my favorite things to do. I aim to be the most minimal efficient packer, every trip is a chance to improve upon the last trip.

Everything gets a bag- easier to find what you are looking for

Essential - Noise cancelling earphones

A book, magazines and a kindle or ipad

Travel candles and matches

sanitizers,wipes and tissues

Disposable underwear -- no joke

a light jacket that stuffs into a sack and can be used as a pillow

We are getting ready to travel in a few weeks so I thought I would put together a three part packing post. Packing is actually one of my favorite aspects of travel. Don't know why but it is. My goal is to pack the perfect minimal carry on bag. Every trip is a chance to improve upon the previous trip.

One color--Black. all dresses and One tee shirt

Travel cubes, pouches and bags are the best. Everything is separated, organized and easy to find. This upcoming trip I am going to use ziploc bags to separate each outfit. Easy peasey.

I have a giant bin of this kind of stuff

Okay, This gets a lot of laughs but disposable underwear are the best. You wear them, you throw them out. I am not carrying home dirty underwear and I am not doing laundry in the hotel. The ones I usually carry are much much nicer but I bought these on amazon to try out. Not my favorite but they'll do just fine

Never leave home without-- tissues and various forms of santizers

Never leave home without - travel candles and matches -hotel room must smell good

Never leave home without--Magazines, books and a Kindle

Never leave home without- Noise canceling headphones are an essential for long flights

added color in the form of a slip dress (upper left), jeans ( look good under each dress that I packed, just in case it gets cold), jewelry( fun stuff to break up all that black), bathing suit, stick on tattoos, toiletries.

Never leave home without- Light weight jacket that packs into a pouch and can double as a pillow

10 days of travel in one soft carry on bag ( longchamps), empty kate spade knapsack that may get let at home this time

Sunday Funday

April brunch was at Vic and Angelo's in downtown Delray. Our brunch squad has 4 members with birthdays in April so we added a birthday celebration to the mix( which means we can have cake or in this case cotton candy). The dress code was not for everyone to wear an off the shoulder top it just happened that way. Probably the reason we are all friends. We show up wearing the same clothing all time. And matching tattoos!
