Shades of Pink

 Paying homage to the significant impact cancer has among people of color, a special exhibit, entitled "Shades of Pink" featuring the personal journeys of nine, local African- American women, on display at the Spady museum in Delray.   Designed to help the public recognize October, breast cancer awareness month and celebrate survivors.  

Our friend Michiko Kurisu was the photographer for this exhibit.  We went out to support her but ended up making friends and learning a lot about the people in our own community.

It's October....

So of course we went to Oktoberfest.  German food, giant pretzels, big beer how can you not.

October Brunch...

..at The alchemist gastropub in downtown west palm.  Because of the dark interior and the way we were seated it was hard to move around and get good pictures + I forgot.  We've frequented The Alchemist at night but this was the first brunch for all of us.

Sunday Funday

On Sunday we headed up to lake worth to hang out at Reverly bar  and check out the Swap and Shop.  There were free mimosa's and henna so we were happy. 

¡Viva Mexico!

This past Saturday we took a super fun Mexican dinner cooking class with Aurora's Mexican Kitchen. We learned how to prepare an entire meal including Mexican rice, nopal salad and marinated fish wrapped in banana leaves.  Everything was insanely good.  really good.
