dream come true.....

We went to Thailand to eat, attend the Loy Krathong festival and to be an elephant owner for the day.  As an elephant owner for a day, you get to spend a day with your own elephant, you feed, bathe, learn basic commands and exercise your elephant. This was an amazing unforgettable experience.

let there be light

We planned our trips dates to coincide with the Loy Krathong festival.  During the festival thousands of lanterns are released into the sky. The lanterns are released into the sky to pay homage to the god of water.  To show gratitude for the gift and apologize for the abuse. When you release the lantern you also send up your wishes. Breathtaking, moving, beautiful,  surreal, amazing are words that come to mind.  I hope to never forget what is was like to witness this event.   This was our first day in thailand.
