Take me out to the ball game

We took Rosanna (Norway) and Abbdulazziz(Yemen) out to experience a Major league baseball game.

We did a little tailgating before the game as is our tradition

yep, i read magazines and ate ice cream as is tradition

after the game the roof opens and there is fireworks-- pretty cool

We then did some souvenir shopping in Miami

Last Saturday we attended the nightowl market in fort lauderdale.  Night market have become quite popular.  A good way to spend a night supporting local business, artists, crafters and chefs.  I love the people watching.  Especially the girls with big colorful bold tattoos and colorful hair.  So awesome that they can do that these days.

We got in the car one day this summer and ended up in Virginia.   Our exchange student had just arrived the day prior. 

We made it!

We rented bikes one night and went exploring.  Virginia Beach has a great bike culture.

I love how there are always bikes parked outside of  the restaurants even the more upscale places. You can't see it here but there are about 20 bikes parked outside this eatery.   

Late night snacks at Aunt B's

This is a farm stand that has a big barn with gourmet wine and foods for purchase inside you can then take your goodies to the tables out front.

Sister in law sharon's back patio, which we love.  Because you don't melt in the heat.  It was in the high 70's

Yay.. real trees

Greg grew up in this house,  small front yard but a huge backyard with a greenbelt that sits on the water. This house as slept and fed many many people.
