Brekkie!!

I have a bucket list of places to eat in New York, Paris and London.  With only an average of two trips a year to New York and even less to Europe,  more restaurants  are added than crossed off  from the list. There is a very small chance of actually completing the list but it has been fun trying.

I had the pleasure of crossing two places of the list during this last trip  to New York.  JACKS WIFE FREDA  and The EGG SHOP .  Both being immensely popular and on trend right now making it a challenge to get in the door without waiting on line for up to an hour or more.
Luckily,   we are early risers, braved the cold and morning rain and we were able to get seated without waiting. Both lived up to the hype. Seriously great food,  great people watching, great service.  They go back on the list because I am not done.

Even the sugar is cool

Madame Freda  — Pressed sandwich with duck prosciutto, cheddar béchamel, gruyere  sunny side up egg

Eggs Benny — 2 poached eggs over potato latkes, smoked salmon and beet hollandaise

EGG  AVOCADO SMASH, HEIRLOOM TOMATO, SEA SALT, MULTI-GRAIN

BROKE YOLK,  WHITE CHEDDAR, BLACK FOREST BACON, TOMATO JAM, FRESH PICKLED JALAPENO

all with a side of fried chicken- which was amazingly good
